Work (the very short version)
- is the iOS chapter lead at George Labs building the George app with a team of 15 full time iOS devs
- participated in innovation programs at big enterprises, for BeeOne, the digital innovation unit of ERSTE hub and before at the research & development department of bwin
- participated in innovation programs for NGOs and the civil society at BeeTwo
- did mobile application development from concepts, interaction design to implementation — until mid 2015 the VOD and streaming app for ServusTV (itunes) and before that for mySugr (itunes) and bwin (itunes)
- has experience in developing and operating big java web applications (one was serving up to 8.5 mio http requests per day) on amazon web services infrastructure

- developed cd-roms at infowerkstatt in Schwaz for clients like Swarovski, Tyrolit, BFI and Tiroler Tageszeitung
- developed interactive museum/point of sales applications at nofrontiere in Vienna for Haus der Musik, Museum Judenplatz, Museum für angewandte Kunst and T-Mobile Austria, did cd-roms there for Hilti and the walkabouts and developed interactive projections for events of Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft, departure and Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft
- developed websites at collettiva in Vienna for ERSTE Bank, Casinos Austria, an arcade game for the Viennale international film festival, helped with the technical setup of private exile, a production of Wiener Festwochen and developed a point of sales application for Burgtheater
- developed as a freelancer an application controlling the real time rendering of a tv signal for Kabel TV Wien/w24 which reads data from a cms and send commands to a vizrt rendering engine
- developed as a freelancer together with Christian Langreiter Carrier a wiki and blogging platform
- developed the frontends for various projects at System One (gone since 2011 or so) - first for products like systemone, a wiki and knowledge management solution and radar, a news aggregating and filtering app. did client projects for customers like McKinsey & Company, Tomorrow Focus AG, Die Presse
- worked at bwin.party - first in the research & development department working on too many prototypes to list - mainly small web prototypes and some big search (serving 8.5 million requests a day on 2 — 4 of servers on Amazon EC2) and simple classification problems, then in the mobile, touch and video department developing the user interface of mobile applications running on iOS, android and the web (optimized for tablets, but currently broken) - working on the ui concept, coordinating design and development, doing quality assurance, lots of clicking, testing and tweaking of details
- worked part time at mySugr developing certified medical apps supporting diabetes type 1 patients in their daily life
- developed as freelancer the video on demand and live stream iOS app for ServusTV
- developed prototypes and strategies at BeeOne, the digital innovation unit of ERSTE hub
- developed prototypes and strategies at BeeTwo, a project about digital innovation for NGOs and civil society jump started by Erste Stiftung
- Leads a team of 15 full time iOS devs developing the George app: 6 million customers, 90 million mobile sessions a month, some billion Euros transferred monthly on the mobile, a dedicated API Gateway/BFF for the mobile app, 6 apps (one per country), quite some automation in the area of CI, asset and localization management …, ratings between 4.6 and 4.8 stars, far too many meetings
Education
- studied InterMedia (a course related to design, technology and a tiny bit of marketing) at the Vorarlberg university of applied sciences from 1997 to 2001
- did an exchange semester at the Manchester metropolitan university in autumn 1999
- in his thesis code as designelement he researched the integral part interaction plays in multimedia applications and developed an application for creating interactions and movements in a max/msp style interface (http://www.rinner.st/diploma/)
- studied briefly computer science at Vienna university of technology but not with a degree focus but to broaden his knowledge in subjects that interested him, thus taking an arbitrary array of courses - the favorite of which was one on functional programming

- likes food, beverages, living in big cities, building a small hut on the countryside and enjoys having found some degree of work and life balance
