womit sich wieder mal die frage stellt was ein OS genau is (da war doch vor ein paar tagen ein link zum thema UNIX/MAC OS X) - und das erklaert uns nun Mr. Farber (zeuge im MS kartell verfahren) "software that controls the execution of programs on computers and may provide low-level ser-vices such as resource allocation, scheduling and input-output control in a form which is suffi-ciently simple and general so that these services are broadly useful to software developers." (microsoft is natuerlich uebrerhaupt nicht begeistert von dieser aussage und sagt dazu "In fact, at his deposition, Mr. Farber was unable to name a single commercially available operating sys-tem that fits his extremely narrow definition."
